The Life Story of Our Beloved....
Darla Ann Edegbele was born to Billie Phillips and Samuel Duckett on July 21,1960 in Haltom City, Texas. Darla was better known Ms. Dee or Dolla Bill to all who loved her.
Darla accepted Christ at an early age.
She grew up in Haltom City where she received her early education in the Halton City Independent School District. Throughout her adult years Darla worked in the housekeeping/hospitality industry. She also worked in the construction field alone side a close friend of hers.
Those who knew Darla knew her to have a heart of gold, and a smile that would turn a frown into a smile. She was always willing to help anyone that cross her path rather it was with food, clothing, money, or a roof over their head. Although she was met with life changing obstacles, Darla knew quitting wasn't an option. She continued to be a great mother, loving caring sister, a nurturing aunt, a lifelong friend and finally, the greatest grandmother and great-grandmother a child could ask for.
