Obituary for Oscar Carlie Smith
Mr. Oscar C. Smith (Gramps) was born June 8, 1926 in Marshall, Texas to the parentage of Edward and Mary Smith. He later moved to Fort Worth, TX in his early years where he joined Rising Star Baptist Church. He served as a deacon, and also met and married the love of his life; Brenda L. Jackson-Smith. To their union they welcomed 3 beautiful daughters into the world. After 56 years of working, he retired from Hobbs Trailers.
Oscar went home to be with the lord on February 9, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Smith and Mary L. Hayes-Smith; as well as his siblings.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories; his daughters, Lisa Smith, Yvette Smith, and Vanessa Smith-Green; his grandchildren, Latoya Smith, Artabea' Smith, Rodney L. Gardner III, Robert Smith; a host of great grandkids and great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
